Unit 6 - All year round

Dear children and parents,

Find below a summary of the contents and vocabulary that we have been studying in this unit.
  • Seasons of the year: spring, summer, autumn (or Fall) and winter.
  • Months of the year: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
  • Months in each season:
    • Spring: March, April, May.
    • Summer: June, July, August.
    • Autumn (or Fall): September, October, November.
    • Winter: December, January, February.
  • Seasonal activities:
    • Spring: smell flowers, plant seeds.
    • Summer: finish school, go to the beach.
    • Autumn (or Fall): eat chestnuts, celebrate Halloween.
    • Winter: wear arm clothes, celebrate Christmas, open presents.
  • Grammar:
    • Present Simple - Habits: 
    • What do you/they do in spring/summer/autumn/winter? 
      • We/They plant seeds/go to the beach...
    • Do you/they celebrate Halloween/wear warm clothes in autumn/winter? 
      • Yes, we/they do. 
      • No, we/they don't.
  • Ordinal Numbers 1st-30th
They need to learn the pronunciation of these numbers, as well as the spelling.
  • Grammar: they need to write and say their birthday date.
    • When's your birthday? 
      • My birhtday is on the (ordinal number) of (month). When's yours? /
      • It's on the (ordinal number) of (month). When's yours?
